Inauguración da mostra ‘Galicia ata 1975’, unha revisión dos fondos da entidade con pezas de Lugrís, Granell, Soutomaior e máis.En ‘Galicia ata 1975’ o comisario Fernando Huici propón unha revisión dos fondos da Colección Caixa Galicia que abarca dende o século XIX ata 1975. A exposición introdúcese nos principais xiros da arte galega e do no seu desenvolvemento ao longo de máis dun século, con obras de Manuel Abelenda, Picasso, Castelao, Maside, Colmeiro, Luís Seoane, Isaac Díaz Pardo, Eugenio Fernández Granell, Nóvoa, Jorge Castillo e Xaime Quessada, entre outros.
Catro bloques‘Galicia ata 1975’ estrutúrase en torno a catro bloques. O primeiro deles introduce a temática da mostra, relacionando a obra do romántico Jenaro Pérez Villaamil coas derivacións académicas de Isidoro Brocos, Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor, Francisco Lloréns, Manuel Abelenda e un Picasso da etapa coruñesa.
O segundo bloque céntrase na obra de Castelao, impulsor dun ideario galeguista que marca o comezo dunha época de renovación no primeiro tercio do século XX co grupo dos ‘Novos’: Carlos Maside, Manuel Colmeiro, Laxeiro, Luís Seoane ou Tino Grandío.
As propostas de corte fantástico centran o terceiro bloque, máis adentrado no século XX, coas obras de Maruja Mallo, Isaac Díaz Pardo e Laxeiro, o surrealismo irónico de Eugenio Fernández Granell, as metamorfose eróticas de Souto ou as lendas oceánicas de Lugrís.
O cuarto bloque abarca xa a segunda metade do século XX, marcado por un xiro decisivo hacia a abstracción de Nóvoa, Caruncho, Labra ou Molezún, aos que seguirían os exponentes dunha nova xeración, entre os que se atopan Jorge Castillo, Xaime Quessada ou Anxo Huete.

A mostra poderá visitarse ata o 30 de marzo de 2010, de luns a venres de 18:00 a 21:00 h; sábados, domingos e festivos de 12:00 a 14:00 e de 18:00 a 21:00 horas.
